Refund Policy

State Certificate stands behind every order. Please read this policy carefully to understand when refunds are available.

Full Refund — Before Submission

You are eligible for a full refund if you cancel your order before we have submitted your request to the state agency. To request a cancellation, contact us at [email protected] as soon as possible after placing your order. Once submitted to the state, cancellation is not possible.

Full Refund — Unable to Process

You will receive a full refund if we are unable to process your order for any of the following reasons:

  • The business entity does not exist in the records of the specified state
  • The state agency is unable to issue the certificate for reasons outside your control
  • We are unable to fulfill the order within a reasonable timeframe due to extended state processing delays

No Refund — Customer-Provided Errors

We are unable to issue refunds in the following circumstances:

  • You provided an incorrect business name, state, or entity type, and the certificate was issued based on the information you submitted
  • The certificate was successfully issued and delivered but you no longer need it
  • You selected the wrong processing speed
  • A third party (lender, government agency, etc.) rejected the certificate for reasons unrelated to our service

Partial Refund — Processing Delays

If your order takes significantly longer than the estimated processing time due to state delays, we may offer a partial refund of our service fee at our discretion. State filing fees are non-refundable once submitted.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email [email protected] with your order number and the reason for your request. We process refund requests within 3–5 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.
